When it comes to safety, Keepsafe® glass provides premium protection. Made with a tough plastic interlayer fused between two panes of glass, Keepsafe® technology creates an impact resistant barrier so strong that it can withstand a direct blow from a crowbar!

At Its Best When Weather’s At Its Worst Hurricane Protection You Can’t See It Until You Really Need It

Imagine glass windows and doors that stand up to hurricane-force winds up to 110 mph… that protect against flying debris… that resist forced entry… and that work 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in your home. Now there’s a single kind of product that delivers it all–windows and door systems made with KeepSafe Maximum glass.

Similar to car windshields and aircraft windows, KeepSafe Maximum is produced by bonding a tough polyvinyl butyral (PVB) plastic interlayer between two pieces of glass under heat and pressure. Once sealed, the glass “sandwich” works as a single unit and appears transparent, just like ordinary glass.

The result? You get windows and door systems with a durable, scratch resistant, high-performance glazing material that helps stand up to hurricanes, high winds and more, plus a number of other benefits as well.

Security

Other benefits of the Keepsafe® system include:

  • Safety. After impact, glass remains intact. This prevents accidental injury caused by hazardous shards of glass.
  • Sound Reduction. The noise of traffic, airplanes and lawn mowers is reduced by as much as 50%.
  • Solar Protection. Ultraviolet rays of the sun is absorbed which protects furnishings from premature fading.
  • Value. Not only does this state-of-the-art technology enhance property value, it may also save insurance costs by reducing premiums.
